Sales Manager | Structured Finance

A new opportunity to work in our Structured Property Finance team where you will provide support and work closely with the Sales Team to help generate and protect profits by developing and transacting new structured finance property business nationally. The successful candidate will need to be relationship driven, both internally as well as externally. This is a hybrid role – 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.

Role Purpose: 

This role will provide support and work closely with the Structured Finance Sales Team to help generate and protect profits by developing and transacting new structured finance property business nationally, ensuring that the efficient structuring, underwriting and execution of the loan portfolio and associated activities mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound enquiry sales calls and emails making initial assessments and triaging as required. Manage the preparation and implementation of marketing collateral on Linked In and industry periodicals working in conjunction with the Bank’s Marketing Team
  • Follow up on heads of terms, indicative terms and cross divisional referrals
  • Support the Business Development Directors with provision and reporting of appropriate Management Information in regards to sales performance figures
  • Manage diaries coordinating site visits and client meetings
  • Coordinate and update sales performance figures for the Business Development Directors
  • Assist with the structuring of new business enquiries and drafting basic elements of the Sales Director’s presentations
  • Organise and coordinate client and broker events
  • Undertake Specific Projects as and when required by the Team or the wider Bank
  • Adhere to internal policy and regulatory requirements
  • Understand the banks credit policy, lending appetite procedures in order to support the Sales Directors in the growth and management of their portfolio
  • Support the directors with achievement of growth, income targets and adherence to the Bank’s standards in respect of operational and regulatory risk both pre-credit approval and in-life
  • Maintain delivery of a high-quality service to customers as required
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key business partners / introducers to maximise potential growth of business.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of relevant markets and customers in order to anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Support the provision and reporting of appropriate Management Information and ensure required actions are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Provide input to Bank policy including lending guidelines, product development and overall risk management

Skills and Experience sought:

  • Experience in Property Lending (Bridging, Investment and Development)
  • Good credit skills and banking knowledge
  • A level / degree level education or relevant experience
  • Knowledge and strong interest in the property market
  • Business Development knowledge
